1. Are there any grants available to install Cavity Wall & Loft Insulation?

Liberty Surveying Services Ltd uses both local and national contractors. The utility companies have an approved list for each area in the U.K. Liberty Surveying Services Ltd only use contractors whose work is fully monitored.

6. What do I do if I am interested in having insulation?

7. Are the surveyors fully qualified ?
Liberty Surveying Services is one of only a few companies that provides a boroscope test on every property to make sure that the house is suitable. The majority of surveyors are from a building background or from the insulation industry itself.

8. What is a Boroscope test?
Each surveyor carries a Boroscope which is a long viewing tool with a light on the end where he/she can check that the cavity is clear of debris.

9. If the new regulation insists on 270mm minimum depth in the Loft, how is it installed?
Most properties have 100mm joists therefore the material is laid between the joists and then criss-crossed along the top.

10. My parents live in a family housing property, do they qualify?
Each Local Authority and housing association have signed up to the Home Energy Conservation Act and unless they have their own program of works they will be glad to give permission to your parents for insulation work to be carried out.
